This is a new role being created to facilitate the next stage of our growth. You will play a key role in building out the 2nd line AML Programme working closely with 1st line monitoring and regional MLROs. When building out the function, you will have the support and assistance from the Compliance Director and an external firm of professional advisors, who have been instrumental in building out the risk library which feeds the overarching risk assessment.
What you’ll do as the Regional AML Risk Manager ?
Ensure the risk library is kept up to date and ingesting output from current programme, with the objective being library is constantly evolving with market trends and typologies
Ensure the annual review and update of country risk ratings
Contribute to strengthening risk awareness and culture across MoonPay
Ensure the Customer Risk Assessment is reviewed and updated accordingly
Take the leading role in building out the AML risk governance programme across MoonPay
Build out the AML RIsk Management Function at MoonPay
Member of the EMEA AML Governance Committee
You should apply if ✅
5 years AML risk experience in either FinTech or Investment Banking
2 years management experience
ACAMS / ACFCS or ICA accreditation
Full understanding of the risk cycle, from assessments to rules, to rule output being fed back into the programme
Practical experience in design, build and implementation of AML risk management programmes
Flexible & adaptable to the evolving needs of past faced growing organization
Ability to articulate risk in a simple, yet effective manner
Data driven approach and ability to integrate large data-sets
Fluency in English
Nice to have but not essential;
Risk modelling experience
Dynamic risk scoring experience
Awareness and understanding of the threat landscape facing crypto
Liaising with external audit and banking partners
Experience using Looker
